How to import your TV Time catalog into Loveré
TV Time shut down on 15 July 2026 and its data-download site (gdpr.tvtime.com) is no longer available. If you downloaded your zip before then, import it here anyway — it works with no connection to TV Time. If you never downloaded it, it can sadly no longer be requested.
TV Time (sometimes written TVTime) lets you download all your data thanks to the GDPR right to data portability. You request it on their website — not in the app — and the zip is downloaded from that same page. With that file, Loveré rebuilds your full catalogue (shows, episodes with watch dates, movies, ratings, reactions and lists) in a minute, with no duplicates.
Ten minutes, and most of it is waiting for TV Time to build the zip. No Loveré account needed.
- Request your data on the TV Time website
The export is requested at gdpr.tvtime.com ↗, signed in with your TV Time account. It is not done from the app.
- Download the zip from that same page
When it is ready, a Download button appears right there. It is not emailed to you: come back to that page after a while.
- Upload the zip to Loveré
Open Loveré → Profile → “Import catalogue” → “Select file”. No need to unzip or edit anything.
- Done
Before anything is written we show you what the file holds and you pick what to import. Posters and synopses are linked automatically in the background.
Privacy: the zip is processed entirely in your browser — it is never uploaded to any server. Only your catalog is read; everything else in the file is ignored.
Common questions
The TV Time website no longer works and I can’t download my data?
TV Time shut down on 15 July 2026 and its export site (gdpr.tvtime.com) is no longer available. If you downloaded your zip before then, import it as usual: it needs no connection to TV Time and is processed entirely on your device. If you never downloaded it, it can sadly no longer be requested.
What exactly comes over from the TV Time zip?
Your shows with every watched episode and its date, watched and watchlisted movies, your ratings, your reactions, the favourite character of each episode, your rewatches and your lists. Before anything is written we show you a summary and you pick what to import. The only thing left out are your comments.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. It is processed entirely on your device and only your catalogue is read; the rest of the file is ignored.
Can anything get lost along the way?
When it finishes we check, episode by episode, that everything your file claims is in your catalogue — and we show you the result. The one delicate part are favourite characters and lists: TV Time stores them as internal ids of its own and they have to be translated against its API, so the odd title may end up unresolved.
Will importing twice duplicate things?
No. The import is idempotent: run it again with the same file and only what is missing gets added.
How long does it take?
Shows, episodes, movies, ratings and reactions land in seconds. Characters and lists are looked up one by one, so a large catalogue can take a few minutes: you get a progress bar, and it is best not to close the app.
Should I keep the zip?
Yes. It also holds your TV Time comments; if we add notes later, you will be able to import them from that same file. And do not delete your TV Time account before the zip is safe.
Do I need an account to import?
No. Without an account everything stays on your device. An account only adds sync across devices.
Can I come from another app?
Yes: Letterboxd (zip or CSV) and Loveré’s own backups (.json). Trakt, IMDb and Netflix are on the list — ask for them from your profile and we will build the importer.
